However, this convenience also has the potential to increase consumptive behavior, especially among students. Students often buy things simply because they want them, so it is hoped that students can control themselves in order to prioritize their needs over their wants. This study aims to evaluate the impact of electronic money usage and personal regulation on the consumption patterns of students in the Economics Education Study Program at the University of Jember. The research focuses on the role of non-cash transactions and personal capacity in limiting students' impulse buying. The evaluation method used is multiple linear regression analysis with the support of SPSS software version 23. The research findings reveal that: (1) the use of electronic money does not have a significant effect on student consumption patterns; (2) personal regulation also does not show a significant impact when tested separately; and (3) when both factors are analyzed together, they are proven to significantly influence consumption patterns with a significance level of 0.025 and a coefficient of determination of 0.073. These results indicate that electronic money and personal regulation only contribute about 7.3% to shaping student consumption patterns, while the remaining 92.7% is influenced by external variables that were not investigated in this study
Nurus Shofa Septi Ningrum, Riyanto Efendi, Astrian, Choirul Hudha, Vicky Copyright (c) 2025 Nurus Shofa Septi Ningrum, Riyanto Efendi, Astrian, Choirul Hudha, Vicky https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0 https://www.ojs.cahayamandalika.com/index.php/jtm/article/view/5858 Tue, 30 Dec 2025 03:17:09 +0000 Menyoal Pasal 44 Ayat (4) UU PKDRT: Antara Perlindungan Atau Normalisasi Kekerasan Ringan Dalam Rumah Tangga https://www.ojs.cahayamandalika.com/index.php/jtm/article/view/5829
This article examines the legal and sociological issues surrounding Article 44 paragraph (4) of Indonesia’s Domestic Violence Elimination Act (Undang-Undang Penghapusan Kekerasan Dalam Rumah Tangga/PKDRT), which is considered problematic for potentially normalizing acts of minor domestic violence. Although the PKDRT was enacted with the fundamental objective of providing protection for women and children as vulnerable groups, the formulation of Article 44(4) introduces relatively lenient sanctions and adopts a complaint-based (delik aduan) mechanism. These characteristics significantly weaken legal protection for victims and may create space for perpetrators to evade accountability. Furthermore, the absence of clear legal parameters regarding the concept of “minor violence” leads to subjective interpretation by law enforcement officials, resulting in inconsistent application of the law and undermining the realization of substantive justice. Using normative juridical and sociological approaches, this article analyzes how the provision contradicts the spirit and objectives of the PKDRT as a preventive and protective legal instrument. The study emphasizes the urgency of reformulating Article 44 paragraph (4) to eliminate ambiguity, strengthen victim protection, and ensure legal certainty. Ultimately, such reform is essential to uphold the principles of justice, humanity, gender equality, and the original purpose of the PKDRT in combating domestic violence effectively
Hamit Tantio Lumban Gaol, Theo Octapianus Siahaan Copyright (c) 2025 Hamit Tantio Lumban Gaol, Theo Octapianus Siahaan https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0 https://www.ojs.cahayamandalika.com/index.php/jtm/article/view/5829 Tue, 30 Dec 2025 03:39:35 +0000 Pengaruh Tingkat Pengangguran Terbuka (TPT), Indeks Pembangunan Manusia (IPM) dan Tingkat Partisipasi Angkatan Kerja (TPAK) terhadap Kemiskinan di Indonesia https://www.ojs.cahayamandalika.com/index.php/jtm/article/view/6004
This study aims to analyze the effect of the Open Unemployment Rate (OUR), Human Development Index (HDI), and Labor Force Participation Rate (LFPR) on poverty in Indonesia. The study employs a quantitative approach using multiple linear regression analysis with cross-sectional data covering 38 provinces in Indonesia. Secondary data were obtained from the official publications of Statistics Indonesia (BPS). Poverty rate is used as the dependent variable, while OUR, HDI, and LFPR are employed as independent variables. The results show that the Open Unemployment Rate has a positive and significant effect on poverty, indicating that higher unemployment leads to an increase in the poverty rate. The Human Development Index has a negative and significant effect on poverty, suggesting that improvements in education, health, and living standards contribute to poverty reduction. Meanwhile, the Labor Force Participation Rate shows a positive and significant effect on poverty, indicating that increased labor force participation does not automatically reduce poverty when not accompanied by adequate employment opportunities and job quality. Simultaneously, OUR, HDI, and LFPR significantly affect poverty in Indonesia. These findings highlight the importance of strengthening job creation policies, improving the quality of human development, and enhancing labor market effectiveness as part of a comprehensive poverty alleviation strategy in Indonesia
Eka Purnama Copyright (c) 2025 Eka Purnama https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0 https://www.ojs.cahayamandalika.com/index.php/jtm/article/view/6004 Tue, 30 Dec 2025 04:03:22 +0000 Legitimasi Kekuasaan dalam Perspektif Max Weber pada Pemerintahan Kontemporer https://www.ojs.cahayamandalika.com/index.php/jtm/article/view/5801
This article aims to analyze the legitimacy of power from Max Weber's perspective and review its application in contemporary governance. This research method uses a descriptive qualitative approach with a literature study approach. The researcher explores in-depth the concepts of power, authority, and legitimacy, as well as their relevance in modern governance practices. Data were collected through a review of books, journals, and academic articles, then analyzed using Weber's theoretical framework. The results show that the legitimacy of power depends not only on formal structures or legal rules, but also on social acceptance, public trust, and interactions between the government and society. Weber's typology of traditional, charismatic, and rational-legal authority remains relevant, but in the contemporary context, legitimacy is also influenced by transparency, public participation, and the use of information technology. These findings confirm that building and maintaining the legitimacy of power in contemporary governance requires a balance between formal legality, social recognition, and the effectiveness of public institutions.
Aninda Qoirunnisa, Yuyun Sri Wahyuni Copyright (c) 2025 Aninda Qoirunnisa, Yuyun Sri Wahyuni https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0 https://www.ojs.cahayamandalika.com/index.php/jtm/article/view/5801 Tue, 30 Dec 2025 04:25:37 +0000 Analisis Semiotika Roland Barthes pada Sinetron “Beri Cinta Waktu” Episode 50 Karya Anika Maharani https://www.ojs.cahayamandalika.com/index.php/jtm/article/view/5777
This study analyzes the denotative, connotative, and mythic meanings contained in the television drama “Beri Cinta Waktu” episode 50 by applying Roland Barthes’ semiotic framework. The research focuses on seven selected scenes that are considered representative in conveying narrative and symbolic messages within the storyline. Using a qualitative descriptive approach, this study examines both visual and verbal signs, including dialogue, facial expressions, body language, camera angles, and setting, to reveal how meaning is constructed and communicated to the audience. The findings show that at the denotative level, the scenes portray everyday reality and observable actions as they appear on screen. At the connotative level, deeper meanings emerge, reflecting emotions, interpersonal relationships, power dynamics, and prevailing cultural norms. Meanwhile, at the mythic level, the drama reproduces broader ideological constructions, such as societal perceptions of love, jealousy, age hierarchy, and culturally embedded practices that are often taken for granted. These results indicate that “Beri Cinta Waktu” functions not merely as a form of entertainment, but also as a cultural text that actively reproduces and reinforces social values and dominant viewpoints, thereby shaping the audience’s understanding and interpretation of social reality
Zambia Dian Nafisah Copyright (c) 2025 Zambia Dian Nafisah https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0 https://www.ojs.cahayamandalika.com/index.php/jtm/article/view/5777 Tue, 30 Dec 2025 05:49:25 +0000
